I can’t believe it, but I got accepted to the University of Texas at Austin!!! I am beyond thrilled and cannot wait to get out of here! I have waited for this day for so long and can’t believe my grades and SAT scores were high enough. Dad is freaking out, obviously. He can’t believe what the out of state tuition is, and is almost not wiling to pay for it. I promised I would apply for scholarships and attempt to take out a few small loans. We’re packing fools at this house, trying to get everything organized and in the moving truck. Dad found me a small townhouse right out from downtown Austin and I can’t wait to see it. Apparently it’s over a hundred years old, so we’re going to have to do some fixing. I am sure it’s full of charm. He had a guy come out to talk about Just Energy electricity rates texas and make sure we’re getting the best rate since it’s not an energy-efficient house. I’ll post before and after pics as soon as we get there and get it all set up. Can’t wait to be a Longhorn!
